Emergency - Cell Phone Calling Information
In the event of an Emergency please dial 9-1-1 immediately. It is preferable that emergency calls be made from a landline. However, if you are using a cell phone please adhere to the following directions:
1: - When giving the full address being specific about your location is critical. Identify local intersections, buildings and / or landmarks. Clearly identify town/county / state.
2: - If you are uncertain about the address provide a description of the area that includes the street/ road and town / county / state. Look for local landmarks that can help direct first responders.
3: - It is important to remain on the line with the 9-1-1 Dispatcher until your location is confirmed and help arrives.

Mosquito Prevention
Its never too early to start looking around your yard for any standing water that may be collecting around your back yard! Remember - standing water is an ideal environment for breeding mosquitoes! Check your flower pots, old tires or unattended bird baths! Dump any standing water you see - spring is here. The water you dump out today may be a few less buzzing mosquitoes this summer!

January 2017 Dennis Township Bike Path Update
Greetings friends and neighbors! Just want to keep everyone updated on the continuing saga of the Dennis Township portion of the County bike path. Jack Gibson and I traveled to Atlantic City Electric's regional headquarters in Mays Landing on January 11th. This was our second meeting with the ACE staff. Atlantic City Electric still has some concerns about the bike path using their property. Although our plans seem to address these concerns, it was decided that the electric company would send a representative from their Real Estate division to "walk" the stretch of property in question. We feel this will be much more productive than sitting in a meeting room looking at engineering plans. The good news is our County Open Space funding has been approved. Once we get over this hurdle, the first phase of our bike path can get started. Jack Gibson and I are dedicated to seeing this bike path become a reality. Therefore, we realize that after our experience with NJ Transit's constraints on using the rail tracks and Atlantic City Electric's limited enthusiasm, we may have to pursue other possibilities. Once again, thank you for your patience. - Lisa Salimbene.
