“Smart Driver’s Course” through AARP will be held at the Dennis Township Senior Center on Wed., July 15, 10am – 4pm. It is a 6-hour course, with two 15 min breaks and a 30 min lunch break (plus others as needed). The course is designed to refresh your driving skills & explore new rules of the road, provide the latest vehicle technology information, address normal changes in reaction time, vision, and hearing associated with aging, reduce overall car maintenance as well as possibly give you a discount on car insurance (check with your provider, many companies offer a discount to those who take the course).
The space is limited to 20 people; you must RSVP to Shannon if you are interested at 609-861-3137 or email . Please provide your name and contact when signing up. If necessary, a waitlist will be created and you will be contacted if there are any cancelations.
Lite refreshments will be available. Please bring your own lunch, drinks, and snacks as you wish. The cost is $20 for AARP Members, $25 for Non-AARP Members (checks or cash will be accepted the day of the event). There will not be a test – all questions will be answered together and open discussions will be had throughout the day. Each participant will receive a comprehensive guidebook and a Course completion certificate. We hope to see you there – happy driving!
