BID INVITATION AND NOTICE TO BIDDERS
TOWNSHIP OF DENNIS, CAPE MAY COUNTY, NEW JERSEY

NOTICE is hereby given that on, Thursday, June 6, 2019, sealed proposals will be received by the TOWNSHIP OF DENNIS at Township Hall, 571 Petersburg Road, Dennisville, New Jersey at the hour of 2:00 PM prevailing time, for RECONSTRUCTING ACADEMY ROAD, Dennis Township, at which place and time the said bids will be publicly opened and read.

Specifications & Plans may be obtained at the office of the Township Clerk, Township Hall, 571Petersburg Road, Dennisville, New Jersey, for a fee of $100.00 to cover the cost of preparation, no part of which will be refunded.

A PRE-BID CONFERENCE will be held at the Site, Academy Road (School parking lot), at 10:30 AM, Thursday, May 30, 2019.

Bids must be enclosed in a sealed envelope and plainly marked in the lower quadrant:  “RECONSTRUCTING ACADEMY ROAD”.  The name and address of the bidders shall be on the envelope.

The form of bid supplied by the TOWNSHIP OF DENNIS must be used in bidding.

Bids must be submitted prior to the time designated above for receipt and opening of bids, and must be submitted either by mail or in person by the bidder or his agent.  No bids will be received after the time designated above for their receipt.

Bids must be addressed to the Township Committee, Township of Dennis, 571 Petersburg Road, Dennisville, New Jersey, 08214.  Each bidder must deposit with his bid a certified check, cashier’s check or bid bond in the amount of ten (10) percent of the total lump sum bid (but not in excess of $20,000.00).  The right is reserved to reject any or all bids or to waive minor irregularities in any bid presented.  Award, if any, will be made to the lowest and best responsible bidder at a formal meeting of Township Committee.

No bidder may withdraw his bond within 60 days after actual date of opening.

Bidders are required to comply with the requirements of N.J.S.A. 105-31 (P.L. 1975, C. 127, as amended, Law Against Discrimination Affirmative Action Supplement).

Bidders are required to submit a statement of ownership with the bid, in compliance with N.J.S. 52:25-24.2 (P.L. 1977, C. 33).   N.J. and Federal Prevailing Wage Acts apply to this project.  Bidders’ attention is also called to the requirements of P.L. 2004, C 57 concerning registration with the State of New Jersey in order to do business with local contracting agencies.  Proof of registration in the form of a copy of the Business Registration Certification must be submitted at time of bid submission by all bidders and named or listed subcontractors.  Failure to comply will result in mandatory bid rejection.

Seasonal Recreation Summer Camp Counselor

(Camp will run from June 25, 2019 to August 15, 2019)
SALARY: $12.00 – $15.00 PER HOUR

The Township of Dennis is accepting applications for the part-time position of Recreation Attendant/Recreation Aide. The position is for our Seasonal Summer Camp held three days per week Tuesday, Wednesday (8:30 am to 3:30 pm), and Thursday (8:30 am to 4:00 pm) – (21.5) twenty-one and one-half hours per week. Interested applicants must be a high school graduate (by the time Camp starts) and may obtain applications, job specifications and qualifications at the office of Administration/Clerk in the Municipal Building located at 571 Petersburg Road in Dennisville, during regular business hours, 8:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Applications can be emailed upon request. The Township of Dennis is accepting applications for a Public Works Seasonal Laborer position. This is a full time 40-hour per week job, for a temporary period of six (6) months. Code Enforcement Officer

The Township of Dennis is currently accepting applications for the position of part-time Code Enforcement Officer. Applicants must be qualified under the requirement of the Township Job Specification for Code Enforcement Officer. Hourly compensation is negotiable, depending on qualifications. The Dennis Township Chief Finance Officer invites sealed bids for Providing Solid Waste and Recyclable Materials Collection Services for the Township of Dennis.

Specifications may be obtained daily between 8:30 AM and 4:00 PM from the Dennis Township Finance Department, 571 Petersburg Road, PO Box 204, Dennisville, New Jersey 08214 or they will be mailed on telephone request (609) 861-9700 ext. 225.

Bids shall be made on the standard bid forms and submitted in the manner designated within the Specifications.  They shall be enclosed in sealed envelopes bearing the legend, “Providing Solid Waste and Recyclable Materials Collection Services for the Township of Dennis” on the outside.  The bids shall be returned to the Dennis Township Finance Department by Thursday, July 25, 2019 at 2:00 PM prevailing time, when they will be opened and read in public.  Late bids will not be considered.
