The Cape May County Division of Aging and Disability Services is pleased to announce a partnership with the State of New Jersey Division of Taxation and Atlantic Cape Community College – Cape May County Campus to host a free Property Tax Relief Filing Assistance Event for residents age 65 and older, as well as residents receiving Social Security Disability benefits, who are seeking assistance with their 2025 NJ PAS-1 applications.
The event is designed to assist eligible residents with filing applications for New Jersey property tax relief programs, including ANCHOR, Senior Freeze, and Stay NJ benefits through the combined PAS-1 application process. Trained representatives from the State of New Jersey will be on-site to provide guidance and filing assistance.

Residents should be prepared for possible long wait times, as assistance will be provided on a first-come, first-served basis.
To help ensure applications can be completed during the event, residents should bring the following documents and information:
- Government-issued photo identification
- Social Security numbers for all applicants listed on the application
- Property tax information or tax bills for 2024 and 2025
- Tax returns or income documentation for 2024 and 2025, including:
— Social Security statements (SSA-1099), Pension statements, W-2 forms, 1099 forms, and any additional income records
— Residents who are married should bring income documentation for both spouses. - Banking information if direct deposit is requested
- Copies of prior-year property tax relief correspondence or applications, if available
