As part of Dennis Township’s celebration of America’s 250th Anniversary, the Old School House Museum is inviting residents, students, businesses, and community organizations to contribute small items for inclusion in a community time capsule.
The time capsule is expected to be buried later this summer as part of the Township’s ongoing 250th Anniversary activities.
We are seeking small personal and community-related items that help tell the story of life in Dennis Township in 2026. Suggested items include:
- Handwritten letters or greeting cards
- Photographs with identifying information
- Business cards
- Local restaurant menus
- Postcards
- Beach tags
- Small toys
- Small flags
- Labels from local breweries
- Local organization or business memorabilia
- Class photographs
- Other small items that represent our community today
Students and school staff are also encouraged to participate. The Township is coordinating with the school to provide an additional collection location.
Please include your name with any donated item and, if desired, a brief message to future generations.
Donations may be dropped off at the Old School House Museum during the first and third Saturdays in June from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., or at Township Hall during regular business hours (Monday through Thursday 8:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.).
For questions or additional information, please contact Old School House Museum Curator Ray Rebmann at .
Help us preserve a snapshot of Dennis Township life in 2026 for future generations to discover.
